Superlative skiing pleasure
Ski resort Sölden-Hochsölden
361 kilometers of pistes, 90 lifts and 6 ski areas - with the Ötztal Superskipass (valid for 3 days or more), it's free travel on all the slopes in the valley.
Included are the well-known ski destinations Sölden and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl as well as the family-friendly regions in Hochoetz-Kühtai, Niederthai, Gries and Vent.
From easy terrain at Innerwald and Giggijoch to many blue and red slopes and challenging descents at Gaislachkogel: Sölden is known for its wide and perfectly groomed slopes. The Gaislachkogel is also very popular with freeriders.
For comfortable transportation on your skiing vacation, 32 modern lifts with a transport capacity of 67,000 people per hour are available. With the new Giggijochbahn (1.2 kilometers) and the Gaislachkoglbahn (600 meters), you can reach the ski area from the Bergland design hotel with the two new feeder lifts with the highest transport capacity in the world.
Due to the ideal altitude of the ski area (1,350 - 3,340 m) and the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers, winter sports enthusiasts in Sölden experience top-class fun on the slopes for the whole family from October to May. In addition, more than three quarters of the slopes can be covered with artificial snow.
Unique in Austria: while skiing in Sölden, you can comfortably and effortlessly conquer three three-thousand-meter peaks with the modern cable car systems: the Schwarze Schneide (3,340 m), the Tiefenbachkogel (3,250 m) and the Gaislachkogel (3,059 m ) and enjoy the unique views over the Ötztal Alps during the BIG3 Rally.
More than 30 rustic huts in the region invite you to take a break. From alpine inns to self-service restaurants and umbrella bars: In Sölden there is guaranteed to be the right hut for you.
Tip: The rustic Hühnersteign at the 6-seater chairlift Stabele is run by the sister of host Sigi Grüner and invites you to spend some cozy hours right next to the ski slope.
